Caitlin Forrest is the Operations Manager at the Institute for the Study of War. She was previously a Counterterrorism Research Assistant at ISW, focusing on the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham’s global strategy and operations, Afghanistan politics, and the Afghan Taliban. At ISW, She has contributed to ISW’s Afghanistan Partial Threat Assessments Map that tracks Taliban and ISIS control and support zones in Afghanistan.
Ms. Forrest received her B.A. from Wake Forest University with a double major in Politics and International Affairs and French Language. She previously worked at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies as an intern and at Wake Forest’s Middle Eastern and South Asia Studies Program as an assistant.
