The panelists will offer their evaluation of the Afghanistan war to date. Specific discussion points include: the influence of regional actors in Afghanistan, the relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the plausibility of reconciliation and reintegration of insurgents, the progress of counterinsurgency operations in Helmand and Kandahar provinces, and the NATO military conference in Lisbon.
