Elsa Kania

Non-Resident Fellow in Indo-Pacific Security

 

Elsa B. Kania is a Non-Resident Fellow in Indo-Pacific Security with the Institute for the Study of War. Her research focuses on Chinese military strategy, defense innovation, and emerging technologies. Elsa is also an Adjunct Senior Fellow with the Technology and National Security Program at the Center for a New American Security, and she is currently a PhD candidate in Harvard University's Department of Government. She recently published People's Warfare against COVID-19: Testing China’s Military Medical and Defense Mobilization Capabilities under ISW's Military Learning and the Future of War report series.
